The Department of Homeland Security has formed an Artificial Intelligence Safety and Security Board, with members including tech leaders like Jensen Huang from Nvidia, Sundar Pichai from Google, and Satya Nadella from Microsoft. The board aims to advise on safely deploying AI in critical infrastructure, providing recommendations to protect against potential threats. It was created by the Biden administration to regulate AI development and is comprised of AI experts from the private sector and government. Despite concerns, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas believes the tech leaders understand the board's mission of responsible AI use.
