A police officer and a sheriff's deputy in New York were shot and killed in the towns of Salina and Liverpool during separate incidents. The officers were responding to reports of a stolen vehicle when they were shot. The suspects involved in both incidents were also killed. The areas where the shootings took place were secured, and there is no direct threat to the community. The incidents are currently under investigation.
