Intel introduced its latest artificial intelligence chip, Gaudi 3, which is over twice as power-efficient and can run AI models 1.5 times faster than Nvidia's H100 GPU. The chip comes in different configurations and was tested on models like Meta's Llama and Abu Dhabi-backed Falcon. Intel claims Gaudi 3 can aid in training and deploying AI models like Stable Diffusion and OpenAI's Whisper for speech recognition. The chip will be available in the third quarter and major companies like Dell, HP, and Supermicro will incorporate it into systems.
