Michael Davis, 29, has been sentenced to life in prison with a minimum term of 22 years for the murder of his son, Ollie Davis, who was found lifeless with more than 20 broken ribs and fractures to his skull, collar bone, arms, and limbs. Ollie's mother, Kayleigh Driver, was convicted of causing or allowing the death of a child and causing serious physical injury, and was sentenced to seven years in prison. The baby had sustained a total of 37 fractures, including a snapped neck, in Leicester in 2017.
In 2017, Michael Davis, facing potential life imprisonment for his son Ollie's murder, denied any knowledge of how the five-week-old sustained multiple fractures to his skull, collar bone, arms, and limbs. During police interviews, Davis calmly stated he had no idea how the injuries occurred, showing no emotional response to the extensive injuries. Despite direct questioning, Davis maintained his innocence in Ollie's death.

NASCAR K&N Pro Series West driver St. James Davis and his wife LaDonna Davis had a pet chimpanzee named Moe, whom they treated as if he were a human child. After Moe bit several people, the city of West Covina, California seized the primate and placed him in an animal sanctuary near Bakersfield, California. The Davises waged a long, unsuccessful legal battle to recover Moe. On March 3, 2005, while at the sanctuary on one of their frequent visits with Moe, St. James and LaDonna Davis were attacked by two young male chimpanzees named Buddy and Ollie: the two chimpanzees had escaped their enclosures. In the ensuing attack LaDonna Davis lost her thumb, and St. James Davis was brutally mauled, resulting in permanent disfigurement and missing extremities.
