Russian hackers, known as Midnight Blizzard and believed to work for Russia\'s SVR, have been targeting Microsoft\'s systems to gain access to source code and internal systems. The group has escalated its attempts since last year, breaching corporate email systems and attempting to break into source code repositories. Microsoft has filed an incident report with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, disclosing the ongoing cyberattack. The hackers, part of APT29 or Cozy Bear, have a history of high-profile attacks, including the 2016 DNC hack and the 2020 SolarWinds hack. Microsoft is actively investigating and enhancing its security measures against the persistent threat.
