Xiaomi to Launch Electric Car SU7 in Beijing

Xiaomi is set to unveil its highly anticipated electric car, the Speed Ultra 7 (SU7) sedan, priced below 500,000 yuan. Founder Lei Jun aims for the SU7 to rival top car manufacturers like Porsche and Tesla. With the Chinese EV market saturated and competitive, Xiaomi faces challenges amidst a price war. Despite being renowned for smartphones, Xiaomi accounted for 13% of global smartphone sales in Q4 2023. The SU7 boasts a 700 km range, outperforming Tesla\'s Model 3 long-range version.
