Tampa Bay Rays shortstop Wander Franco, 23, has been placed on administrative leave through June 1 as Major League Baseball and the players\' association investigate allegations of an inappropriate relationship with a minor. Franco, a 23-year-old All-Star, was removed from the 40-man roster as the Rays prepare to open the season against the Toronto Blue Jays. Earlier this year, Franco was arrested in the Dominican Republic after being placed on administrative leave in August for similar allegations. He faces accusations of sexual and psychological abuse, different from the initial commercial and sexual exploitation charges.
