A safeguarding review following the murder of ten-month-old Finley Boden found significant shortcomings in assessment and planning, with social workers and a guardian unable to carry out visits and meetings due to illness and shielding during the COVID-19 pandemic. Finley\'s parents were convicted of his murder, having inflicted 130 injuries including bone breaks and fractures, burn marks, bruises, sepsis, and endocarditis. Derbyshire County Council had initially removed Finley from his parents\' care due to the risk of harm before he was tragically returned to them full-time.
