New Banksy Mural in Finsbury Park Covered Up After Vandalism

Published: 27 March 2024 at 13:52

A new Banksy mural featuring a young girl with a pressure hose appeared in Finsbury Park, north London, on March 18th. The artwork, claimed by Banksy on Instagram, was defaced with white paint and subsequently covered with wooden boards and plastic sheeting by the building owner and Islington Council to protect it from further damage and manage crowds. The local council cited concerns about disruption caused by the influx of visitors and the need to protect both the art and residents in the area.
