More than 100 students and staff kidnapped in Nigeria two weeks ago were rescued by the army in a coordinated search and rescue operation in Kaduna state. 137 hostages were freed, with 76 females and 61 males. The remaining hostages are still missing, and it is unclear if force was used during the rescue. Kidnappers demanded a ransom, but Nigerian President Bola Tinubu vowed to ensure the students\' release without payment.
