Fourteen people were killed and 37 others were injured when a bus carrying 51 passengers crashed into an interior wall of a tunnel on an expressway passing through Shanxi province in northern China. The accident occurred at 2:37 pm on Tuesday on the G59 Hubei Expressway, linking Hohhot in Inner Mongolia to Beihai in Guangxi Zhuang. The cause of the incident is under investigation, and road accidents are common in China due to lax safety controls.
