According to reports, 33-year-old actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson is in line to become the next James Bond, with Eon Productions preparing for a new 007 movie and a script currently in progress. Taylor-Johnson has yet to officially accept the role, but sources suggest that he is likely to sign the contract soon. If confirmed, he would be the seventh actor to play the iconic spy in the official films, following the likes of Sean Connery and Daniel Craig. Previous speculations about Idris Elba taking on the role were dismissed by the actor due to racial comments.
