A Georgia judge has dismissed six out of the 41 counts in the indictment against former President Donald Trump and his allies related to alleged election interference in Georgia. The dismissed counts focus on solicitation of elected officials to violate their oaths of office in attempts to overturn the 2020 election results. The ruling by Judge Scott McAfee cited insufficient detail in the dismissed counts but upheld the racketeering charge. The possibility remains for prosecutors to seek a more detailed indictment on the rejected counts, including charges related to a phone call Trump made to Georgia\'s Secretary of State.
