Japan\'s Smart Lander for Investigating Moon (SLIM) unexpectedly came back to life after an engine failure left it unable to charge during a 14-day lunar night. The craft miraculously survived the harsh conditions of the lunar night, defying expectations. The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) confirmed that SLIM is once again online and communicating with Earth, despite not being designed for lunar nights. SLIM, which was intended to land on all four legs, tipped over during its landing on the moon but has managed to maintain its functions.
