Russian courts have sentenced at least 154 people in St. Petersburg to jail terms of up to 14 days for violating anti-protest laws while commemorating Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny. Similar sentences were reported in other cities across Russia. Navalny, who died in a prison colony at 47, was known for his opposition to President Vladimir Putin. Police arrested hundreds of Russians laying flowers for Navalny, as public shows of opposition are effectively illegal in Russia. Authorities have not granted Navalny\'s family or lawyers access to his body, sparking anger among supporters.
