Former CBS President Les Moonves has agreed to pay an $11,250 fine to the city of Los Angeles for attempting to influence a retired LAPD captain, Cory Palka, to interfere in a sexual assault probe against him. Moonves resigned in 2018 after multiple allegations of sexual misconduct. The LAPD launched an investigation into Palka\'s actions in 2022. Moonves denied the accusations, including one from Phyllis Gottlieb, who claimed he assaulted her in 1986. Moonves was found to have leaked confidential information from the investigation. Palka met with Moonves and shared confidential information in 2017 and 2018.
