Wyze Camera Glitch Allows Users to See Strangers\' Cameras

Wyze camera owners experienced a security issue where they could see thumbnails of cameras not their own in the Events tab after an Amazon Web Services outage. The glitch, confirmed by Wyze cofounder David Crosby, affected 14 users who were not able to access live streams, only thumbnails. Wyze took down the Events tab, logged out users to reset tokens, and is investigating the incident to prevent a recurrence. This response differs from a previous security flaw Wyze faced in 2019 but did not inform users about until three years later.
