Loose bolts found on United Airlines 737 Max 9 aircraft during inspections

United Airlines has discovered loose bolts on plug doors and other parts of multiple 737 Max 9 aircraft during inspections. The findings were made after a window and chunk of fuselage blew out of an Alaska Airlines plane, leading to the grounding of all 171 Boeing 737-9 Max aircraft. United Airlines has 79 737-9 aircraft in its fleet and plans to remedy the installation issues found in order to return the aircraft to service. The cause of the incident is currently under investigation, and it is unclear if it is related to previous warnings about the aircraft.
