Astrobotics Peregrine lander, developed by the Pittsburgh-based company, is scheduled to launch to the moon on Monday, carrying 20 experiments and international payloads, including six NASA instruments. The mission, under NASAs Commercial Lunar Payload Services initiative, aims to locate water molecules, measure radiation and gases, and evaluate the lunar exosphere. If successful, the lander will touch down on a mid-latitude region of the moon called Sinus Viscositatis. Peregrine also carries various colorful cargo, such as a rover, a physical Bitcoin, cremated remains and DNA, personal mementos, artwork, and letters from children worldwide.
