Wayne LaPierre, Vice President and CEO of the National Rifle Association, has resigned from the organization three days before his corruption trial in New York. LaPierre cited health concerns as the reason for his resignation, but the NRAs press release mentioned that he is an individual defendant in the corruption case. Andrew Arulanandam will serve as interim CEO and executive vice president after LaPierre steps down on January 31.
