Claudine Gay, the president of Harvard University, has resigned following accusations of plagiarism and criticism over her comments on antisemitism on campus. Gays remarks during a congressional hearing on antisemitism were criticized by politicians and the White House. Conservative activists also found instances of alleged plagiarism in her 1997 doctoral dissertation. Although initially supported by Harvards governing board, the board later discovered additional examples of duplicative language without proper attribution. Gay has announced that she will update her dissertation and request corrections.
