Princess of Wales Returns Home After Abdominal Surgery

Published: 29 January 2024 at 12:18

Health

The Princess of Wales, Kate, has returned home to Windsor after undergoing abdominal surgery. The surgery was planned and the palace has stated that Kate is making good progress. The exact details of her condition have not been revealed, but it is known to be non-cancer-related. Kate is expected to take time off from official duties until after Easter, and her husband, the Prince of Wales, has temporarily stepped back from his royal role to care for her and their three children. The King, who himself has undergone treatment at the same hospital, visited Kate in the hospital before his admission. The King will also not be carrying out royal engagements as he recovers from surgery, but will be available for state matters.
