Jay Leno has filed for a conservatorship of his wife Mavis Leno\'s estate in order to protect her financial assets as she battles dementia. Court documents state that Mavis has been progressively losing capacity and orientation to space and time. Jay believes his wife consents to him being appointed conservator and wants to ensure her desires regarding the disposition of her assets are realized. The couple, who have been married for 43 years, have never publicly discussed Mavis\'s health. Another hearing on the matter has been scheduled for April 9.
