The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) has initiated an investigation into 12 employees who are suspected of being involved in the Hamas terror attacks on October 7. UNRWA has also severed ties with the suspected staff members. The US State Department confirmed that 12 employees were implicated in the attacks. UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini stated that any employee involved in acts of terror will be held accountable. The US has temporarily paused additional funding for UNRWA as it investigates the allegations.
