South Korean opposition party leader Lee Jae-myung was stabbed in the neck while talking to reporters in Busan. The attacker approached Lee and asked for his autograph before striking him with a knife. Witnesses rushed to aid Lee, who was seen collapsing to the ground. He was taken to the hospital conscious but bleeding. The assailant has been arrested. Lee, who lost in a tight presidential race in 2022, remains a strong contender for president despite recent scandals and corruption charges.
