The Princess of Wales, age 42, has undergone successful abdominal surgery at The London Clinic and will stay in the hospital for ten to fourteen days before returning home to Windsor for recovery. She is not expected to resume public duties until after Easter. The palace did not disclose the specific reason for the surgery but stated that it was non-cancerous. Prince William will postpone several engagements to support his wife and their three children during this time.
