Days of Our Lives actor Bill Hayes dies at 98

Bill Hayes, known for his role as Doug Williams on the soap opera Days of Our Lives, has passed away at the age of 98. He first portrayed the character in 1970 and met his wife, Susan Seaforth Hayes, while filming the series. Hayes had a successful career on the show, playing the character on and off over the next 50 years. He and Seaforth Hayes received the Daytime Emmys Lifetime Achievement Awards in 2018. Hayes also had a musical career, recording a popular version of The Ballad of Davy Crockett.
