US flight safety regulators are increasing their scrutiny of Boeing after a mid-air panel blowout on one of their planes. The incident resulted in the grounding of all 737 MAX 9 aircraft with emergency exit door panel replacements. The FAA administrator stated that the MAX 9 has significant manufacturing problems, reigniting safety concerns following the two fatal crashes involving MAX 8 aircraft. Boeings CEO has acknowledged the quality issues and is working with aviation officials. The planes are expected to remain grounded until checks are completed and a preliminary report is issued.
