Russia Launches Massive Aerial Attack on Ukraine, Killing Civilians

Russia launched 122 missiles and 36 drones in the biggest aerial barrage of the 22-month war, killing at least 18 civilians. The Ukrainian air force intercepted 87 missiles and 27 drones. Ukrainian officials have urged Western allies to provide more air defenses to protect against aerial attacks. Russia has limited its cruise missile strikes in recent months to build up stockpiles for massive strikes during the winter.
