Dixie Chicks founding member Laura Lynch dies in car crash

Laura Lynch, one of the founding members of American country group Dixie Chicks, has died in a car crash at the age of 65. The collision occurred outside El Paso, Texas, and the driver of the other vehicle was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Lynchs cousin confirmed her death, and the Texas Department of Public Safety has launched an investigation into the incident. The Dixie Chicks changed their name to The Chicks in 2020 and released several successful albums during their career.
